Les Savy Fav @ warsaw, NYC

I'm really glad Les Savy Fav hasn't broken up, and I'm really glad Warsaw is a rock venue.

These pics from Les Savy Fav's Friday night (March 10, 2006), packed & rowdy show @ Warsaw in Brooklyn.

"there's really no way of putting into words the utter amazing-ness of that incredible show, so i will just say this: if you have never seen les savy fav play live, you must do so before you die, or your life will have been a complete waste of time. i think i got permanent hearing damage from that show, but it was entirely worth it." That second opener was really awful.

Les Savy Fav were great.

This was maybe the 15th time I have seen Les Savy Fav over the years. And it was so much fun as usual. I can't really get into the moshing any more but I really love to watch the way the crowd interacts with Tim. He just continues to give so much to the crowd that it is amazing. To me the highlight of last night may have been when that totally wasted kid jumped off the stage. I was laughing about that for the rest of the show.

Yeah that kid was hilarious, he was all, "Nanaa niniii" ahaahaa

les savy was great, but the openers were SO bad!

foreign islands is the worst, most passe shit i've ever heard. why are these guys getting so much hype? their lame, gratuitous hand-clapping, pop punk dancing disco punk bullshit is like five years late. wtf? fuck that shit.

and i don't even remember the name of that !!! band but that was really pretentious and really boring. boo.

thank you tim harrington, for making this show worth 17 dollars.

ha, that totally makes me want to see them ASAP

i loved the band and loved the setlist (i was so glad they played "ic timer") but the sound at the warsaw is so bad. i've seen a bunch of shows there, and the only decent sounding show was damien rice, mostly because it was quiet and acoustic. rock shows at warsaw kinda suck. i saw les savy fav at volume a while back and they were nice and loud and everything was great.

Yeah, I thought the sound was better at the Bowery last year, but nothing can stop LSF from putting on a awesome rock concert.

And I thought the second opening band "Free Blood" was actually pretty good. I mean, yeah DancePunkwhatever is played out but they had pretty hooky, groovy songs and were a lot of fun. That must count for something.

I don't like this band at all, but the girl in the first picture is super cute.

Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld would love Free Blood. Sheer torture.

good thing the pretentious fat guy attempted a tan before the show...pasty white is gross especially on fat red-headed dude with no talent but all punk-stupid-pop charisma

i was at the show too. person above me: they'd actually just come back from australia, so he was tan from there.

second: the second opener was a fucking travesty. they were terrible. that wasn't even live music, that was a backing track with some dude playing a bass over it (which could've easily been on the looping track) and two people speaking and screeching with heavily reverbed vocals over the loop. it was boring and pointless.

third: les savy fav were amazing. that was the second time i saw them and i will see them everytime they come to new york from now on.

What was the name of the opening band? The girl and guy singing to the electronic music? They rocked!
