NYC Shows Tonight | Love is All!!

Not going to Arctic Monkeys, Animal Collective, Joggers, Mystery Jets/Noisettes, The Gossip, Dr. Dog, or Cordero tonight? Then go see Love is All @ Warsaw! Plenty of tickets still available, and last night's Knitting Factory show was super-duper.

Last night's show was amazing. In fact I'd go to this show if I wasn't already seeing Dead Rabbit and the Federalies at Martini Red all in walking distance from my home in Staten Island.

Wow, you're from staten island? What a dork. Also, I heard that the base player in Dead Rabbit has done some pretty sordid things with his own father and that people that go to their shows are equally perverted so think about that for a while. Pervert.

this may sound incredibly dimwitted.. but are their age restrictions at warsaw?

anybody else hate the warsaw?

i think the whole vfw aesthetic is cool and all..

but the smell of fried food and everybody being all sweaty and smelling like polish malt liquor.

the place kind of grosses me out.

I really dig the fried/sweat factor at Warsaw. Makes it that much better!

The sound sucks at Warsaw, so it's a drag to pay like it's a real Manhattan club for VFW sound system. Not the sound guy's fault - just a bad room acoustically and crappy system. The Polish people who run the place have that look on their faces like they're capitalizing nicely on the hipsterization of Greenpoint but they don't exactly get it.

Oh but Love Is All was great. Props to the bass player especially.

Super-duper indeed. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time.
