Emo's Annex is an outdoor tent across the street from Emo's. They had great free shows there every day during SXSW. I just happened to be walking by on Thursday (March 16, 2006) when I heard loud drumming that drew me in. It was the PETA/Warcon party, and inside I found these three punk percussionists acting out the drum circle I picture taking place in a Mad Max movie. They're called Street Drum Corps, and they're currently playing arenas all over the country on the Taste of Chaos tour. They have songs streaming at their myspace.

have you ever heard them or are you just basing your opinion on plain ignorance? it takes skill have a band with out guitars and singing. the band being limited in sound is actually somewhat of a metaphor. they show you that we dont need spend and consumes quite so much as we do to send the same message....... i mean, what did we have before electricity. DRUMS AND STICKS......... so really if you were to think instead of run your mouth you'd realize that they are showing us a glimse of the past meshed in with the present.
