In September Neuman wrote, "Bottles were broken, mic stands were kicked into the crowd, microphones were swung into people's faces, and the band climbed up the walls". I too remember coming pretty close with the mic at Scenic. Luckily neither of us came as close as the girl who got her head smashed in last night at Bowery. Heartonastick has a review of the show.

they did the same kind of sh*t at the Vice day party at SXSW when they finished their set and starting beating up some guy in the VIP tent.

I'm reserving judgement until I hear an official stance from MPR.

Dreadfully mundane stuff. This is Spinal Tap w/o any of the humour...

boohoo
about time I've heard this happen. I hear xyz young pup cry how bad a band is because they just stand and play and are all happy when a band jumps around and kicks things over or spits at the crowd. My comment has always been I prefer the band to play good music and they can stand around all they want. Why? cause I saw enough concerts in the late 70's and early 80's were certain punk shows were a disaster. If you went to a show you can expect flying bottles and people having bruises. The bad bands were the worst.

Terrible band tries its hand at violence in an attempt to savor all 15 minutes.
See also: Diamond Nights; a bunch of punk bands hightea would have seen were he not actually 22.
