is there any chance that this broken social scene appearance has to do with the Broken Social Scene/Bloc Party tour that's going on this summer? Cause i'd kill to see BSS/Bloc Party at Prospect Park

Posted by Dillon | April 19, 2006 11:42 AM

I can't believe BSS is having anything to do with Bloc Party. The lead singer never shuts up about how crappy all those wannabe post-punk/U2/etc bands are.

30 dollars my arse

Posted by eliz | April 21, 2006 3:41 AM

Hey other then saying "my arse" can someone inform me as to what I might expect for $30? Is that for the reserved "seats" in the front of the stage and then everyone else who pays $3 on the day of is in the open area?
And eliz - $30 for your arse? I mean you should really advertise during birdybrains.

Posted by tim | April 21, 2006 2:08 PM

$30- not cheap, but (presumably) for a good cause. And BSS outdoors on a nice summer night has the potential to be exceptional. I think the $30 just gets you GA inside the fenced off area. Some folding seats and some grassy area around the perimeter. Those who don't want to pay can always listen from just outside the fence.

what sucks is that they wrap a covering over the usually see-through fence for the $$$ shows. I watched Belle & Sebastian by peeping through a little hole.

The Hidden Cameras are opening. ehhh...

Posted by Chris | April 28, 2006 2:21 AM

The Hidden Cameras are about 10 million times more entertaining than Broken Social Scene.

Posted by Eh yourself | July 6, 2006 11:11 AM

ahahahha

who are you kidding man? Broken Social Scene are one of the best of our time. who the fuck cares about the hidden cameras?

idiots. that's who.

What is the start time for these two band, it only says "Gates Open 6pm"? If anybody knows thanks!
Plus tix are still available on the Celebrate Brooklyn web site or tweb.
