Who plays the Art Brut festival?
Eddie Argos: Hmm, all the new bands we like (The Rakes, Futureheads, Ciccone, The Fades...) and maybe Weezer, Morrissey, Luke Haines, Johnathon Richman, Guns & Roses and The Strokes... eclectic! (from a 2004 interview with Art Brut)

Ciccone @ Cake Shop

Friend of both Art Brut & ex-Art Brut, Ciccone was my surprise favorite Tuesday night (april 25, 2006) at Cake Shop in NYC. They flew in from the UK that day, and the crowd was depressingly small, but that didn't stop Ciccone from playing a great debut U.S. show. They actually went on right after Rose Melberg, but none of Rose's crowd stuck around.

I got to talk to vocalist/guitarist Rebekah Delgado after the show. She was super nice and gave me a CD without even knowing I had a website. She also proudly told me it was her that coined the phrase "Popular Culture No Longer Applies to Me". Eddie Argos liked it so much he asked if he could use it.

Luckily for them (and us), they have two more shows with MM before they go home.
