¡Forward, Russia! to NYC in June

¡Forward, Russia! are playing Mercury Lounge in NYC on June 14, 2006 @ 10:00 (10:30). That's annoyingly the same night their good friends We are Scientists and Arctic Monkeys are playing Roseland which could mean that FR ARE opening for AM and WAS - the rumor that Jeff says he made up.

radiohead is now supposedly playing the 13th and 14th.

which thankfully means if you want to avoid the scensters who go to shows just to be seen and say they were there, get tickets to the 14th, cause they'll all be at the arctic monkeys show.

And if you want to avoid idiots like the one above and simply like good music no matter how popular/unpopular it is, go to Radiohead on the 13th and Arctic Monkeys or ¡Forward, Russia! on the 14th.

Not the best night for them to play.

A huge portion of the music scene will be elsewhere. With radiohead, sonic youth, and arctic monkeys/we are scientists all going on, this show will likely go (relatively) unnoticed. The scheduled set time seems to be 10:30, which is probably not enough time to even be an aftershow option.
