pssh, but it's neccessary to ensure a certain quality of life for the lass!
after all, who doesn't require an entire floor in whatever hotel she stays in, not to mention cases of kabbalah water and what not.

it's suprising to see that he convenience charge wasn't $50.

I love how on top of a "Conveniece" Charge there is charge for processing. WTF?!?!?!?!?

Eeeek... I think my ticket to Coachella (where she is on the line up) and roundtrip flight together comes to less than one of her shows at MSG...

Posted by Anonymous | April 9, 2006 3:59 PM

that might explain those sets of diamond coated eyelashes.

Don't tell me you're actually buying those tickets?

Posted by Holla | April 9, 2006 4:26 PM

Dude, don't do it! Jose Gonazalez is playing that day.

Posted by musicsnobbery | April 9, 2006 4:38 PM

no, i didn't buy them!

Posted by brooklynvegan | April 9, 2006 5:13 PM

duh...

Anyone considering buying tickets to this- I need your money much more than Madonna does. I'm almost out of smokes over here.

Posted by Anonymous | April 9, 2006 6:04 PM

You shouldn't smoke. It's horrible for you, supports a right wing agenda and it smells bad. Oh well, at least you can't smoke at rock shows in NYC.

ok just one question. . . WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU PAY $350 TO SEE MADONNA (let alone anybody at madison square garden)????????

MADONNA TO FANS: "I HATE YOU."

For $748.30, she'd better be having sex on stage. With Mick Jagger.

Perhaps she's on to her next religious fad and is raising dough for the Church of $cientology?

Id just like to add to the convenience charge hate. Here are tickets I bought to see Pelican at Avalon(who as far as I know, don't have a box office so I had to go to ticketmaster to buy em)

Tickets
ADULT Tickets
Total Convenience Charge(s) US $15.00 x 1
US $5.25 x 1
Order Processing Charge US $4.60
TOTAL CHARGES US $24.85

TEN bucks on top off a 15 dollar ticket?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2006 9:40 AM

I heard that you can get Avalon tickets at the Irving Plaza box office.

Posted by k | April 10, 2006 9:54 AM

anyone foolish enough to pay for these tickets really deserves to be ripped off.

Posted by andrew | April 10, 2006 10:22 AM

These artists are trying to get all they can while the getting is good.
The promoters are just trying to make the exorbitant guarantees. If the promoters could just say NO, we'd all be the better for it.

I'd also like to add to the convenience charge hate. I love basketball almost as much as i love music so i pick up 2 TEN DOLLAR Nets playoff tickets and I pay $35.75 for the order. How does ticketmaster charge 15.75 on a 20.00 order?! And I used ticketFAST, where they email you the tickets for $1.75 fee, where does the other $14 on a $20 order come from?! That's 70% of the cost of the entire order even after excluding any shipping costs!

NETS 05-06 PLAYOFFS - RD1 G3
Continental Arena, East Rutherford, NJ
Date TBA

Seat location: section 230, row 24, seats 13-14
Total Charge: $35.75

for the record, you can buy avalon tickets the night of the show, its a pretty huge venue so i doubt a show like pelican would sell out before the day of.

Posted by nick | April 10, 2006 12:31 PM

she's a fuckin slut

i think there's no point of grumbling here. the more you grumble, the more you sounds like a dropout high school student who's on pot and think everything in the world is against them. the price here i think is much of supply and demand. it's same thing as now day's gasolin and natural gas prices. the supply goes down, and demand is high, then of course the price goes up. that's a simple economics. whether you like madonna or not is another quesion of whether the ticket is worth or not. there is simply overwhelming number of people who want to see her, and they are happy to pay that price, and good thing for madonna, those people can afford to pay that price unlike others like us who can't.

She's posted another show, and more over-priced tickets, you should see what brokers are asking for these tickets though.. arm and a leg.
