Rothko closed since Blues Traveler show
Blues Traveler played Rothko Thursday night. The band played a two hour set that ran until after 3AM. People at the show told me nothing out of the ordinary happened, but someone else seems to think something related to that show caused the cops to shut the club down. Saturday night's show was cancelled. Monday's was moved to Nublu. Last night's was moved to Fat Baby.

I was at the show... The set was supposed to start at 11:30-12pm according to management... They didn't get on stage until 1. When I left at around 2am, there was a distinctive smell in the air. Also worth noting, John Popper stopped in the middle of his first song and proceeded to smoke/pass something for a good 10 minutes. I can't imagine this is the first time people have been smoking at Rothko.

I was at the show up near the front and there was no bud, anywhere seems like the crowd brought that stuff in. The show was arright, with just an expected extended jam session.

about product shop's show:
"We have just been informed that, due to structure violations, Rothko will not be allowed to be open for tonight's Product Shop NYC reading with Andy Greenwald, Chuck Klosterman, Marc Spitz, Ultragrrl, and Caryn Ganz.
We are currently looking for an alternate venue. Pls email us if you can help........"

i just got word that rothko will be shut down until at least june.... totally sucks my band was scheduled to play there next week..

yup - tonight's Klosterman thing is cancelled. and they didnt even reveal who the mystery guest was.
