Synchronized smimming + Japanther | Tonight @ NYU

Japanther can say they're playing the Palladium....

DANGEROUS WHEN WET
Friday, 4/28, 7:30pm
Palladium Athletic Facility, 140 E. 14th Street

Swimming "The virile and powerful Poseidon is no match for the pairing of energetic Brooklyn band Japanther with an agile crew of synchronized swimmers. The union of the two is an overwhelming juxtaposition of grace and vigor, the fruit of their intercourse being an awe-inspiring aquatic display. The NYU Program Board Performing Arts Committee has organized a water show with the hope of integrating art and music in the athletic arena, giving both artists and athletes a new medium with which to work. They have invited Aquadoom, Dale Mohammed, and Olympic bronze medalist Lauren McFall to choreograph and perform to the live maritime music of Japanther." [MORE INFO]

They can also say they're playing the Whitney.

this is just too absurd.
but so it looks like it's actually free to get in... interesting. i should have thought to look at the nyu events when i posted about this. but it was such an anomoly on ohmyrockness that i was a bit thrown by it and only half-believed it was a real listing.
