yeah, I think Yo La Tengo and Wilco are playing the same show.

now to the important question.. what are the chances we do not have to pay more than a small donation to get inside the park for this?

Posted by Anonymous | April 14, 2006 4:28 PM

Considering Celebrate Brooklyn usually only charges for the last concert of the year, I'd guess this one is just a donation of $3.00

<-- psyched

it's not always true that they only charge for the last show of the season. last year there were three more shows after the ben folds / rufus wainwright show. considering how packed it was for yo la tengo a couple of years ago i'd guess that it's a benefit. a great show for a good cause though.

and the string cheese show was in july i believe... but it wasnt originally planned to be at prospect park so maybe that doesnt count?

I used to work for celebrate brooklyn and this will undoubtedly be one of the "benefit shows". So expect it to be at least 20 bucks, but probably more like 30.

you dont have to pay shit, just sit on the grass outside the see through fence.

i really hope ylt and wilco arent on the same bill, as the fratrock crowd will kill the fun of ylt's annual visit

Posted by Anonymous | April 14, 2006 5:30 PM

thanks for killing the dream

Love it either way - pay and get up there or don't pay and enjoy the music.

Why the bandshell is the best outdoor spot in town

Posted by Anonymous | April 14, 2006 6:24 PM

Ah crap, this isn't cool. I like Wilco and all, but let YLT have their own night! Why the hell would they split the bill, much less between these two bands?

Posted by bthirsch | April 15, 2006 12:30 PM

when do they go on sale?

Posted by mts | April 15, 2006 3:02 PM

pretty obnoxious comment about fratrock...It does seem strange they would play the same night..I am out of town July 13th so it really sucks

ok JC street teamer

Posted by Anonymous | April 17, 2006 2:20 PM

Wilco is not playing Prospect Park with YLT and that is directly from the band.

What is a street teamer?

You can enjoy YLT without the fratrock crowd.

I didn't know Prospect Park was also known as the Playhouse in New Brunswick, Canada.
