looking forward to seeing the stills on a big stage. their new record is gorgeous.

it's on it's way to being much better than last year.

Not bad...you've got canucks (stills), canucks with broad appeal (stars), brits (cribs), a blogger buzz band (tapes), and one truly awful band a major label probably paid VV to put on (she wants revenge). Still needs one major draw -- Built to Spill perhaps? New album and the date is open.

meh

decent line-up so far...no real "headliner" like they've had in past years though.

Stars are pretty good live. I'd like to check out The Stills and Tapes n Tapes. Still waiting to see if they announce something that kicks me in the pants a bit more.

she wants revenge. that sounds like something arranged by their new uber-corporate management. really hope that's not the headliner.

Posted by mucky | May 10, 2006 12:31 PM

do we think stars and stills will headline?

i love 'em to death but are they headliners?

hmm

coney island looks so pretty in an artist's rendition

Stars are amazing in show.
The Cribs always get the peoples dancin'.
This may be a really fun show (minus She Wants Revenge... not exactly a roof-raiser).

I love the free shows.
Thanks for the info.

Posted by Anonymous | May 10, 2006 2:17 PM

Needs some ROCK.

Posted by chauncy | May 10, 2006 2:19 PM

yeah seriously, this is a pretty mellow lineup so far... except Art Brut, but it needs MORE!

Posted by bryan | May 10, 2006 2:28 PM

Shoot the freak. Shoot the freakin' freak in the head.

Posted by Anonymous | May 10, 2006 2:46 PM

The only thing I'm excited about, with more than half the bands announced, is the possibility that Art Brut might get the crowd moving.

Posted by J | May 10, 2006 4:01 PM

she wants revenge is so fucking bad

oh well, beggars can't be choosers

Posted by thelorax | May 10, 2006 4:06 PM

So far the lineup is solid, but could we at least gets some bands that don't play new york every month.

"bullshit. i'm going to chicago."

Do us a favor and stay there.

even 22 year olds dont enjoy the white boy rock.

I wouldn't see the lineup as reported here, even with the two late additions. The only thing that could induce me to go is a certain Austin band who is playing Castle Clinton TWO DAYS before Siren. Hmmmmm......

This is the WORST lineup I've ever seen. It's pathetic. How do you go from fucking Guided By Voices & John Spencer and SUPERCHUNK to a bunch of shitty unknown-bands? Siren RIP

Posted by deb | May 11, 2006 11:43 AM

how can you call it the worst when they still have like 8 more to announce?

Posted by Anonymous | May 11, 2006 11:50 AM

Stars is more than enough reasons to go.
