"Nomi will also be releasing her next full length album later this year on Voodoo-Eros Records. She is taking on the role of producer to create what she calls, "an abstract soul collage that incorporates elements of Hip Hop, Folk & R&B. DJ High Priest , who is best know for his work with 80's rebel artist Jean Michel Basquiat in the hip-hop experimental group Gray, contributes to the record as well as professional thereminist Armen Ra. Also contributing the record are various musicians plucked from a pool of rock steady talent as well as friends & family of the enlightened familia."

YES! I've been needing some CocoRosie in my life. I will be in Philly in June.. Vox Populi seems to be a gallery, and not a usual music venue... hmm.

coco is not racist

shut the hell up, they're not racist. the word nigger in their lyrics has been taken completely out of context, and those parties they've attended may have been ignorant, but not necessarily intentionally. although i have to say cocoracist is quite a good catchphrase.

Please brethren dont allow racist debates to prevail here, its all about good music.
Racism can still be a touchy topic and best left out

Not to get all Gawker stalker here, but I was eating dinner with a friend at an establishment in Williamsburg a couple weeks ago and the Coco Rosie sisters were sitting at the table next to us dining with an African American guy. I didn't hear them say anything racist to him either. So in conclusion, the world can still be a nice place to live.
