David Byrne curating Carnegie Hall concert series

"David Byrne curates an eclectic cross-venue series of Perspectives,entitled No Boundaries. Widely known as the force behindthe rock group Talking Heads, Byrne is credited with helping to bring world music to the American pop consciousness and is known for his musical curiosity and eclectic collaborations. This seems strange, but possibly interesting. It's nice to see that Carnegie is pushing at the borders a bit in terms of what comes to their space. That said, last year's curated series by John Adams was very eclectic and didn't draw well, so perhaps the publicity needs to be pointed in different directions....
