DKT/MC5 | Motorcycle accident - shows cancelled, Ramones benefit & Wayne Kramer playing solo

Wayne Kramer Last summer MC5 reunited and played some shows in NYC. Since then DKT (MC5 minus members) continue to play. They were scheduled to headline Northsix again on May 18, 2006. They were also taking part in the Joey Ramone Birthday Bash at Irving Plaza the next day. That was until Michael Davis got in a motorcycle crash. He hit a muffler in the road.

Wayne Kramer is still taking part in the Ramones thing. He's also playing some solo shows including one at Joe's Pub....

WAYNE SOLO DATES - 2006
May 20 - Joe's Pub, New York, NY (solo acoustic)
May 21 - Dave Marsh's Sirius Radio Show, 11am.
June 23 - Farmers Market, Los Angeles, CA (free, 7PM w/ band)
June 29 - Magic Stick, Detroit, MI
Sept 1 - Farmers Market, Los Angeles, CA (free, 7PM w/ band)

I've heard the strokes are not headlining the ramones show now - is this true?

I don't think they ever claimed to be headlining, but yes its true.

the strokes have the benfit listed on their website under tour dates

no question they're playing. they're just not headlining, or even playing a full set probably.

I've been to almost all the Joey Ramoen B-Day shows. No one does a full set, just 3-4 songs with the last bands doing 5-6. There will be lots of on-stage talking.

I heardv that at the spirit show a couple years back the strokes played about 8 songs. Anyone know? And if the strokes arent headlining, then who? Dead boys?
