Features wouldn't score commercial, dropped from Universal
"In addition to using the song in the commercial they wanted us to put it on our record and potentially use it as a single. We turned down the offer(knowing the probable consequences), and our record label dropped us." [The Features] (via YANP)

Geez, what did the band do wrong simply by signing with a major? They just proved they wouldn't do everything the label might tell them to do.

my friend directed one of the Features music videos last year and he said they were THEE worst people to work with. they were premadonna whiners from day one. umm, unless you sell a shitload of records, keep your trap shut. im glad Universal dumped them. they just ruined their career.

The term "prima donna" has been around a lot longer than Madge has been. In other words, while it *is* pre-Madonna, it's *not spelled* "pre-Madonna".
