it is fun posting anonymously. but that doesnt change the fact that some bands, like Harlem Shakes and Oakley Hall, should quit before somebody throws tomatoes at them and embarrases them infront of the 5 people who come to watch them play.

I saw Bravo Silva about 9 months ago at Rothko. They had to disinfect the venue after their show, it weas that putrid.

The Mugs and Favourite Sons are playing the May 16th Friction party at the Delancey. I don't agree with everyone on that list of 7 bands, but The Mugs are quite nice.

The Black Hollies are playing Crash Mansion on 6/2 and a benefit at Union pool w/ Slowlands on 6/11

I think Bravo Silva puts on the best show in NYC. At least the L doesn't run them as beautiful people... that's even creepier than the cover.

oakley hall are amazing. i saw harlem shakes sellout the knitting factory the other night and play new songs that put those other seven bands to shame, except for oakley hall.

harlem shakes are derivative. two step drumming and all-too-familiar vocal stylings for people on their fourth overpriced stell at don knotts. drunk hipsters <3 that shit to no end, especially the girls. and yeah, they come from mucho dinero.
