(stay for) Think About Life | MP3s
Actually I have no idea how tonight's Art Brut / We are Scientists show is scheduled, but last night Think About Life played downstairs after Art Brut. I think they went on around 1:30AM. Stay if you can. More on why later. Here's an MP3...

Macktronic has two more songs.

poor choice of words. I was running out and wanted to get a post up before people left for the show. I just meant they're good, but I didn't have time to review the show or put up pictures.

i saw Think About Life open for Wolf Parade last fall and it was perhaps the most painful half-hour of my life. it was a hipper-than-thou posture-fest that felt like the band was playing a huge joke on the audience (the joke is that they know they're talentless, but they don't HAVE to be talented). their songs were boring, soulless, and pretentious. this band insults the intelligence of music fans and does not deserve one word of the coverage being awarded them.

Jose - I was at that same performance and agree it was awful... but that wasn't Think About Life. Their lead singer was missing, their equipment (including their pre-programmed keyboards) had just been stolen.
Last night's KF show was something completely different, and a lot of fun.

J - thanks for the heads up, I didn't know that. That would seem to make sense as to why they were fairly awful. I'll listen to their mp3s and give them another chance.

Think About Life on the Wolf Parade tour were Think About Life minus one of their most important members. The songs they're writing now are miles ahead of where the were last year, and they bring serious intensity to their performances. Yes, you'll have to have just a small soft spot for noise and occasional dissonance, but catch them on the Art Brut tour and I doubt you'll be disappointed; there's a lot of innovative stuff happening with them right now.

i saw think about life on the 17th and they were incredible...having seen them a few times when they toured with wolf parade it was then that i was introduced to their greatness...but at that time they were without one of their most important members...and finally getting to see martin in action was what sealed the deal for me...please see this band...they do not dissapoint! i am sad i missed the second show at knitting factory...but i know they will be back on the east coast soon...
