The Rogers Sisters are playing the Village Voice Siren Festival with the previously announced lineup of Art Brut, Dirty on Purpose, Stars, Tapes 'n Tapes, The Stills, The Cribs, Celebration, and She Wants Revenge. Stay tuned for the rest.

Sirenfest v. Pitchfork's Intonation
Last I checked, Pitchfork wins because they've got none other than Pretty Toney on the bill. Oh and errr Bloc Party are nice too

siren is ultra weak this year. oh wow, it's also art brut's 100th nyc show too...big shocker.

not only are Siren and Pitchfork on different dates, so are Pitchfork and Intonation. Nothing is in competition with Siren this year.
Siren is also free, local for NYC residents, in Coney Island in the Summer where theres a boardwalk, amusement park and beach.
Plus, they still have 7 more bands to announce.
People love to bitch.

I heard a supergroup comprising of David Bowie, Lou Reed, the dude from Beirut and Sebastian Bach are making their live debut on the 2nd stage at Siren.

um. nope.
Siren has been 14 bands since 2003. 9 bands announced so far. That means there should be another 5 bands. Unless you have some inside info.
