(As previously mentioned) "Metric frontwoman Emily Haines has been talking about her long anticipated solo debut album for quite a while, but now it finally has a firm title and release date. Metric's label, Last Gang Records, will release Knives Don't Have Your Back on September 26." [Chart Attack]
Emily Haines (yes, she has her own website) is playing Joe's Pub on September 19, 2006. "Haines' performance will consist of just herself (blindfolded), and a piano."

Thanks BV. I'm all over this show. Too bad the show is one week before the cd's release. It would be nice to know some of the songs in advance.

Has anybody been able to buy tickets yet? I keep clicking on the telecharge link on the page, and it fails. www.telecharge.com doesn't list the show yet.

I called ticketwhatever.com. They said that the venue has not confirmed this event yet, so tickets are not currently for sale.

good to hear that I'm not the only one who can't get tickets....as soon as someone is successful, let us know. Hopefully they confirm the show soon - this should be one great show.

I called Joe's Pub and you can buy tickets now from them over the phone for this show (also for Cibelle).

i just called joe's pub. apparently, they're no longer selling haines tickets over the phone. tickets will be available on line "in probably a week" he said.
