Siren Festival 'main stage' openers Deadboy & The Elephantmen played Mercury Lounge in NYC on June 5, 2006. It was a last-minute early show added not long after they played Webster Hall with Wolfmother. Definitely check them out at Siren if you can wake up early enough.
Is Riggs a haunted soul? Or just some bored misfit who drew pentagrams on his Trapper Keeper in Jr. High? Don’t know. But he has a great voice, and a genuine, troubled intensity. Brunet pounds those drums so hard you think she’s fistfucking your eyesocket. [Heartonastick]
