Gentleman Reg opened the Final Fantasy show at Tonic in NYC Saturday night (June 24, 2006). Was defintely an unexpected last-minute treat.

Great show. Luchevosky was amazing, especially given that his guitar looked like it was about to fall apart. The whole evening was low-key, familial. Nice way to start a Friday night.

So was no one else completely enthralled by Owen's performance besides me? Christ! I mean yeah, Reg and Luchevosky deserve mention, but the Final Fantasy portion of the evening absolutely floored me. Amazing.

Damn, sounds like a good time. I have no regrets though. I saw Liars instead.
