Kevin Aviance

"Singer Kevin Aviance waves during the annual Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Parade on Fifth Avenue in New York City June 25, 2006. The parade marked Aviance's public return after he was viciously beaten weeks ago by four men which resulted in a broken jaw. The attackers where arrested and charged for assault and hate-crime. I saw him going by and when someone on the float announced him to the audience, everyone went crazy! It must have made him feel really empowered and it's no wonder that he decided to not let the incident keep him from the parade. It was very clear to me then that those gay bashers fucked with the wrong queen that night. Most gay bashers get off easily, but those kids are going to have a tough time in court.

It's just such a shame that others that are not somewhat well known or celebrities, doesn't get as much justice.
