OK, so I think I might be in the minority here by actually liking Webster Hall (the Silver Jews show was killer), but Lightning Bolt really should only be experienced in cramped quarters. It's like how baseball really should only be played outside. Lightning Bolt in big venues doesn't do it for me. The Boredoms, on the other hand, should be nice to see now that they have become a jam band.

I have been seeing Lighting Bolt since their beginning in Providence. I saw them perfrom at Fort Thunder more times than I can count and when they started to get big everyone was worried that seeing them in other venues would be weird but it isn't. I remember seeing them close a Sonic Youth show at Lupo's. The rumor was Sonic Youth refused to go on after them. It was amazing how even in a larger venue people still went crazy. Plus they will almost definetly not be playing on the stage at webster hall so it will still be pretty awesome. I just wish I was going to be in town for this show.

Lightning Bolt has yet to play on a stage. The show at Webster Hall will be no different. This will be a great time.
