Mew | MP3 & playing more dates solo

So many people got excited when they heard that Mew was playing with Secret Machines and Bloc Party this summer. After listening to the new Mew album a lot over the last few weeks, I'm pretty excited too. I was hoping they'd maybe add some more dates, and they did - like a solo show at Hiro Ballroom in NYC on July 26th. Listen for "Special" on my Sirius radio show tonight (or just download it above). Mew is a three man band now, johan left mew a few months ago.
I wish I could go to this but I won't be in town.

Nothing on Mew's website, nothing on their Myspace page, nothing on Ticketweb, and the people at Hiro Ballroom say they know nothing about a Mew show on July 26. Where did you get this info?

Does anyone know if the layout at McCarran Pool allows people to sit in the park and listen if they don't have tickets? Mew + Bloc Party = amazing, and I want to know if it's worth going down there with a blanket.

hey i have an urgent question... in Mew's website they say they are going to be playing in Boston with bloc party, but in ticket master it says only bloc party??? which one should i refer to?! please im desperate!

I saw Mew last night at the Hiro, and was VERY impressed. the sound production was excellent. LOUD... which i think is the only true way to see a live show. the guy was spot on singing. definitely go see these guys. highly recommended.
