« NY Sun say Band of Horses "live up to hype", Pitchfork blogs it, NY Times reviews it | Beth Orton | July 2006 Tour Dates & a remix »

The Phoenix Foundation came over from New Zealand to play three nights in a row in NYC earlier this month. I hit up the last of what was five U.S. shows total at Mercury Lounge on June 10th (2006). Check out the MP3s - great band, great show. Music Slut was at the Pianos show and agrees. The Modern Age was at Cake Shop and equally impressed.

i have a bunch more pics from the pianos and cake shop shows on my site http://www.jonnyleather.com. Both shows were great, and they did a good job mixing up their setlists.
