White Whale (Matt Suggs) on Merge | MP3s, Tour Dates
Tripwire must have my computer bugged (wired?). I spent a significant amount of time last night researching Matt Suggs' new Merge-signed band White Whale in preparation for a post today. I even started writing it until I noticed one of Tripwire's latest headlines pop-up: "Band to Watch: White Whale".
DOWNLOAD: The Admiral (MP3)
Luckily Tripwire didn't post the same track. Music for Robots did, but that was over three months ago (natch). Said the Gramophone posted a third track in March, but that's gone now too. There's four tracks streaming at MySpace. Too bad I missed them at SXSW.
White Whale is:
Matt Suggs (Matt Suggs, Butterglory)
Rob Pope (The Get Up Kids)
John Anderson (Thee Higher Burning Fire)
Zach Holland (Thee Higher Burning Fire)
Dustin Kinsey (Thee Higher Burning Fire)
TOUR DATES
08.03.2006 * Chapel Hill, NC @ Local 506
08.04.2006 * Athens, GA @ 40 Watt The Prom!
09.21.2006 * Omaha, NE @ Sokol Underground
09.23.2006 * Lawrence, KS @ Granada
('White Whale' is not to be confused with the record label or the song by Beirut.)
