I missed the Black Keys last night. Should I leave work early to catch them tonight?

I was there last night too. Going back in a lil bit. You should DEFINITELY get there in time for The Black Motherfucking Keys. They wen't on around 8.

YES SEE THE BLACK KEYS!!! They're not anything like Radiohead, at all, but they rock the fuck out! Sort of like a less poppy, more bluesy version of the White Stripes except the drummer's really good.

Black Keys were good, but nothing memorable. I guess you have to be into that type of stuff. Very bluesy, loud, and predictable.
Radiohead rocked. General admission is possibly the only good spot to have in that theater. When I saw Sigur Ros there I hated it. If I was in GA I probably would've had a great time.

sigur ros didn't have general admission

I like the Black KEys and have seen them a lot but i thought last night they were just going through the motions. They are aband that are better suited for smaller venues.

I have GA. What time do I need to get there tonight to have a good spot or doesn't it matter?

If you want to be really close. I would suggest getting there around 6:30. I got there at 7pm and I was about 6 people back from the stage.
Posted by danfun | June 14, 2006 1:15 PM
how did u survive standing there for 4+ hours?
did they have little fans blowing from the front of the stage? it was way too warm towards the back of the pit.

I know someone who got on like at 4:30 yesterday. they claimed they were 4 from the stage

The new material was really good - looking forward to the album. One thing that bugged me last night (as it does with every concert these days) - why do people Hoot/shout "YEAH"/scream during the quietest parts of songs??? Yes, we know that you love the song ALOT, that's why you are there...it just breaks up the vibe. Sorry to rant : (

I agree that the screaming of "yeahs" and "woohs" is pretty annoying. i hate it most when some asshole behind you is singing along loudly to your favorite song. overly inebriated yeahbrodudes are pretty bad too.

Last night's setlist was amazing. I definitely enjoyed the first night more though since the crowd was a lot more energetic on night one. I have photos up on my flickr.
