The tour will see Zero 7 - aka Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns - joined onstage by a full four-piece backing band and two extraordinary vocalists - longtime collaborator Sia Furler and Swedish singer/songwriter José González. Both acclaimed artists in their own rights, Furler and González recently lent their voices to a number of tracks on 'THE GARDEN.'"

Haa...I knew that hyperlink'd be to that Pfork roaster. I'm surprised they didn't give them a 0.7. You know, to be all clever and stuff.

I couldn't believe that the NY Times referenced a Pitchfork rating in its Replacements article yesterday. Blogs, sure, they look to Pitchfork to tell them what's cool and live by their numbers. But the NY Times? What's next, Sia Michel starts writing for Tuning Fork?

Anyway, just discount that poor rating of the Zero 7 record. Not that it's a work of brilliance or anything, but Pitchfork is on the record as hating pretty much all downtempo -- good or bad. It's like Kruder & Dorfmeister or Morcheeba never existed to them.
