As I was saying, I missed this show. Bao tells me that Antony did sing with both usual collaborator CocoRosie and recent collaborator Matmos, but other than that no special guests. Here are some of Bao's pics:

Does Bao ever stop taking pictures and just watch the show?

hey the camera-people really annoy me too. how about some direct experience?

You guys are missing the point of blogs if you don't want to see photos. Reading text reviews is cool and all but the pictures give you a better idea of what the show was really like. That shot of CoCo Rosie is beautiful. And I won't soon forget BV's shot of The Grates singer from SXSW. I've never once been annoyed by "camera-people". If I see them at the show I know I'll be able to find some shots of the show the next day online. What's the deal? Chill out, it's rock and roll.

are you serious? i love to go to a show, not take a single picture and the go on flickr the next day or brooklyn vegan and download pictures from the show posted by others, and save them in my iPhoto. great way to remember shows.

it's great that bao has become the boogeyman for hipsters and scenesters irritated by those who have the audacity to take pictures throughout a concert.
just for that i'll make sure to drag out my camera to every single show i go to from now on - first of which being Cold War Kids sometime this weekend. please, someone approach and tell me to my face how much you despise my constant flash photography and placid disposition, instead of hiding behind the anonymity of the internet and crying on a fucking music blog.

yeah, snap away. i'm not a cocorosie fan, but those photos are tops. just beautiful.
'direct experience'? go live in the wilderness.

"go live in the wilderness"? go live in a radioshack. and set up a live webcam while you're at it. criticizing gadget/camera freaks for 'snapping away' neurotically at shows isn't the same as being a luddite. christ you people and your toys.

skinly, my comment was directed to bao. seriously, there's a difference between photographs taken by a person that knows what they're doing and cell phone snappers. bao is clearly documenting musical events in a first class way, and thankfully sharing them with the rest of us.

I saw this show last night (though I missed Matmos at the end), and it was terrific. Antony's set wasn't quite as long as I would've hoped, but everything he did play was gorgeous.
And I'm glad that these pictures are here, because I'm short and had trouble seeing much over the tall crowd!
