The show was ridiculously good! One of the best I've seen in a while. No bullshit, just two great bands (Boredoms and Lightning Bolt). The part where they went into "Acid Police" after someone in the audience started shouting out the intro was sweet.

Damn, why did they play on a holiday weekend? Argh.

yea, this was awesome.

I thought it was really boring. The three drummers thing was good at first, but Eye's non-vocal contributions mostly consisted of playing a cheesy two-note sample then running it through the various FX on his sampler. Really uninspiring. Annoying-as-hell crowd as well.

I agree. I thought LB were amazing, but the Boredoms, on the other hand, were boring. No pun intended. And yes, the crowd were annoying as well. Is it just me, or is webster hall just a really shitty venue? I've never stayed for a full show except for sonic youth a few years back. God, that place is horrible

Did anybody go to the show in Bushwick AND the Webster Hall show?
I went to the Bushwick show (which was unreal) and was wondering how LB was at Webster, how did they set up their equip, did they have equip probs (tons at the Bushwick show) etc.....

LB set up on the floor to the left of the stage but they ran through their own PA/Monitors which made it sound really shitty actually. People were chanting louder the whole time. First half of the set was disappointing but the last half was good. They ended with ride the skies.
I thought the boredoms were amazing. Live act of the year in my opinion.

the boredoms actually made me nostalgic for the good ole days of peakin at the beacon w/ the allman brothers band. you can decide if that's a good thing.

I recorded a video of Ride The Skies if anyone cares http://youtube.com/watch?v=ktwUq1l2eXw

i was at both shows, the webster hall show was noteworthy for its lack of technical problems compared to the loft show (what the hell was going on with that?). i too actually considered that they might have sounded less muddy if they had run through the venue's PA. but then of course the shouts of 'sell out' would drown everything out.
the bushwick show was really cool, despite the tech issues, but there seemed to be a lot of noodling going on. but that space kicked ass.

Bushwick Lightning Bolt show was great except for the crowd of drunken bros and underage boys pushing everyone around.

that show rocked but i can see why it might be boring to those not use to the long repetitive song structures. but man, they have so much energy and Eye's Light/Orb opener, disco song, and the acid police were my fave and the fact that i got to talk to him after the show! great show, not the best venue but at least they played!!! *anxiously awaits 7/7/07 NYC*
