I dunno, it's not really the same without the Automator.

i must say, when i saw Kool Keith in the '90s it was entirely not worth it. not sure if his live show has improved at all but...yeah. just a heads up.

He is NOTORIOUS for not showing up. One time when I did see him though (Dr Doooom?), he showed up with a garbage bag filled with individually wrapped chicken wings and juiceboxes and preceded to pass them out to the crowd.....

When I saw him do the Dr. Octagon thing the first time around it was a good show for the 40 minutes it lasted but I don't think I would pay to see him again. One cool thing was when he threw capri suns and Fried Chicken into the crowd. I didn't eat any of it but it was funny and Sex Freak was awesome live but agian it was like a quick 40 minutes and then no encore.

kool keith was the most disapointing live performer i had ever seen, until i saw ludacris a few years later.

okay. whoever said that hip hop shows are "not worth going to anymore" doesn't know what they are talking about. a lot of the best live shows out there are hip hop shows. go see Aesop Rock, Mr. Lif, go see Beans or The Perceptionists or Blackalicious or Apsci or Aceyalone or any number of hip hop acts and you are going to have a hell of a bumpin' time! However, the one show that is definitely not worth going to is a Dr. Octagon show. I was so excited to see him perform, but then he came on stage with an entourage of about 8 people, proceeded to do only the choruses of his most popular songs (Blue Flowers was one of the only songs he performed in it's entirety that was anything but mediocre), and then stopped performing alltogether in order to sell promotional materials (that's right, *selling* promo stuff!) from onstage. Most of the audience gave up on him at that point, and that was about a half-hour into the show. I was floored, man. And Dr. Octagon is lucky that his openers carried the show for him, because his live show was the worst I've ever seen.
