Fiona Apple played Summerstage last night

With Mew, Antony, and Golden Smog all playing shows, I totally forgot that Fiona Apple was @ Summerstage last night.

You forget to mention that Danielson played the Knitting Factory as well.
It was actually a pretty solid show which saw him play the whole "Ships" album...a show I enjoyed. Alot crowd interaction as well as "clap alongs"

I was at the Fiona show and Damien Rice played also that night with full band. Damien and Lisa Hannigan are amazing together and their set was defintley the highlight of the evening. Wish he played longer.

I am also bummed that the opener, David Garza, got about 20 minutes to play. I am going to the New Pornographers/Calexico/Frames show next week more to the see the Frames and realize I am going to get a very short set. Hope Glen Hansard doesnt talk through the short amount of time.

If you like Fiona Apple, you'll LOVE Alexe Colbus. She's an 18 year old artist from Fairfax, Virginia, who I just signed to my tiny indie label, New Indie Artists. She writes her own songs, plays piano, and will knock you over with her Italian charm. She's influenced by Fiona Apple, of course, Tori Amos, Norah Jones, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, and Carole King.
