Jose Gonzalez played a free Giant Step-sponsored show with Seu Jorge at Central Park Summerstage in NYC on Sunday, July 2, 2006. Jose also headlined two shows at Bowery Ballroom and played a private show at SPIN's offices while he was in town. Someone also spotted him at the Boredoms show at Webster Hall.

I don't get the Jose Gonzalez hype. I tried listening to that album and it was booooorrrring. And you know, I already have Elliot Smith's and Nick Drake's albums, both of which are better than this guy. Maybe I've just hit my limit of quiet acoustic guys?
