Kazaa to pay entertainment industry $115 million
"The company that produced software called 'Kazaa,' which made it simple for millions of computer users to download music and movies over the Internet, has agreed to pay more than $115 million to the entertainment industry to settle global piracy lawsuits, the industry said Thursday." [Yahoo]

kazaa? who uses kazaa anymore anyway? hasn't everyone who knows anything about software to download music made the move to soulseek, like years ago?

if use kazaa with a dsl line it makes computer run like dial-up. how about paying users for all the spam that gets put on computer.

torrenting is my method of choice now; not the breadth of choice I was used to w/napster in its heyday, but much more reliable and high-quality

Another healthy alternative is newsgroups with a client like XNews or Grabbit. A little more work, a little less choice, alot better quality. Especially good for whole albums.
