"Sparklehorse, the alt.country/indie rock brainchild of singer/songwriter Mark Linkous, are set to release a guest-laden fourth album.
Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain, the long-awaited follow-up to 2001's It's A Wonderful Life, is due out on September 25 via Astralwerks. Linkous wrote many of the record's songs at his farm in Bremo Bluff, Virginia and recorded them at his Static King Studio that he recently relocated to the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. Drummer, multi-instrumentalist and frequent collaborator Scott Minor contributed once again.
The new release also features guest appearances by a bevy of stars, including Dangermouse, Tom Waits, The Flaming Lips' Steven Drodz and producer Dave Fridmann (Mercury Rev), who was a major contributor to It's A Wonderful Life." [Chart Attack]

Sparklehorse = THE BEST! I saw these guys at the old Wesbeth when Mark Linkous was in a wheelchair - - next time I saw him live he was in leg braces - - next time after that i saw him and his legs were all better, and PJ Harvey (!!!!) got up and sang a song or two with him. HE IS AMAZING. I recommend everyone go see him play. His shows are stunning, and not to be missed! =)
