The Saturday show, featuring Explosions In The Sky, sold out. You can still get tickets by purchasing the three-day pass.
I spoke to the Mercury Lounge box office and they're not yet sure whether you'll be able to pick up the entire three-day pass at will call the first night (Friday 9/1), but that's what they'd like to offer, if possible.

A post-rock festival would be infinetly better at a venue with seats.

totally agreed about the need for seats.
to be honest, i still am surprised temp residence puts out as much stuff as they do. most of it isnt very good or anything that stands out.

Is it really possible the Explosions in the Sky tix are already sold out? When I click on the link to buy tickets on the bowery site, ticketweb says the tickets aren't available.

It's true that the single-day tickets for the Explosions In The Sky date are sold out, but you can still buy 3-day passes which will get you into all of the shows.
We too are surprised that we put out as much stuff as we do, as you rightly noted that most of it isn't very good or anything that stands out.
Seated venues force higher ticket prices and merch prices since the venues have much larger operating costs and almost always take a cut of the bands' merch sales. We like to keep our shows as artist and fan-friendly as possible.
Thanks for the support,
TRL

This festival is going to be wicked! I heard a Miss Violetta Beauregarde track on some sampler awhile back and couldn't believe it - totally unlike any other stuff on the label, and really awesome. Can't wait. (After I heard Miss Violetta B, I got an even bigger crush on Jeremy who owns TRL.)
