"The Decemberists’ fourth full-length album The Crane Wife has been scheduled for release on October 3 via Capitol Records, and you know what that means. According to the natural principles of science and music marketing, in the event that a band produces a new album, consequently, a tour must follow in support of said album. " [Filter]

I think the only reason they are playing hammerstein is to accomadate the cmj badge holders.

cmj is awful. hasn't anyone realized how it gets worse every year?

CMJ isn't so bad, as long as you don't actually pay for a badge. Why would anyone pay for CMJ? The best part about CMJ is seeing all the dumb faces when the bouncer tells someone that they can't get in. "but but but, but I have a pass!" Of course, I stroll right by them with my ticker. Suckers.

Indeed. In my experience, it doesn't hurt to have a badge, but you certainly don't need it.
