" 'From the Living Room to the Loft', a series of new concerts recorded at New York’s premiere singer/songwriter music venue, The Living Room, will make its world premier on XM Satellite Radio on Sunday, July 23rd, 2006. The 60 minute program will showcase live performances by today’s most celebrated and promising singer / songwriters."
Captured live at The Living Room on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the first few broadcasts will feature performances by such well known acts as: The Little Willies, Martha Wainwright, Joseph Arthur, The Wood Brothers, Marah and Chris Thile of Nickel Creek. Along with a fifteen minute emerging artist slot, each episode will also include an interview with the headlining act by noted musicologist Teri Landi.

The Living Room is a great venue. I just moved to the city about two years ago and the Living Room has been a constant place in my life where I go to find rising artists. The atmosphere is really nice. I can enjoy the more low key music upstairs in Googies or in the main space downstairs. I highly recommend coming here if you like folk, indie rock music.
