The side comments next to each flavor are pretty hysterical

this was the best festival that i've ever been too. $4 beer, $1 water, reasonably priced food (thai, persian, bbq, etc.), awesome record fair, and not too crowded either. Os Mutantes fuckin' ruled, and people in chicago, on the whole, seem a lot nicer than in nyc.

Vegan "ice cream" is to ice cream as non-alcoholic beer is to beer.

way too hot, but the festival was amazing.

"Vegan 'ice cream' is to ice cream as non-alcoholic beer is to beer."
Not true. The vegan ice cream at Vegetarian Palate in Brooklyn is the best ice cream I've ever had.

Festival was awesome. First time I got to see Art Brut, who were so so so much fun. Also loved Css, Tapes N Tapes N Tapes N Tapes, and got really good free cd's from Mew and Team Band. I really enjoyed myself.

THAT IS THE MOST POINTLESS THING I HAVE HEARD OF SINCE TOFU BACON. HOW CAN IT BE ICE CREAM???? THE SECOND WORD IS CREAM!!!!! GIVE IT UP, EATING SOMETHING THAT TASTES GOOD ISN'T GONNA KILL YOU ...AND IN THIS CASE IT WON'T EVEN KILL THE COW.

THE COOKIE DOUGH ICE CREAM KICKED F'N ASS. ALSO, A NICE SERVING OF BLACK BEAN SALAD FOR $2 AND A REFRESHING TOMATO AND CUCUMBER SALAD FOR $2. CAN'T FORGET CHUNKS OF WATERMELON IN LEMONADE FOR $3. THE BEST FOOD EVER PLUS THE PRICE MAKE IT THE BEST FEST FOOD OF ALL TIME.
The only dissappointing part of the fest was the freak'n guys playing frisbee...I took one in the noggin.

can bv make one vegan-related post without someone freaking out in caps about how stupid veganism is? if someone enjoys eating dairy-free ice cream, why do you care?

BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT THE POOR COWS. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU PRODUCED SOMETHING DELICIOUS AND PEOPLE DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT? THAT'S WHY! ...AND BECAUSE PEOPLE COME TO THIS SITE FOR MUSIC INFO, NOT TO HEAR ABOUT AN UNHEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

"OW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU PRODUCED SOMETHING DELICIOUS AND PEOPLE DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT?"
Thanks for the laugh.
Meat is murder. Tasty, tasty murder.

Sweet, I'm famous. I make that "Ice Cream" everyone is talking about. It's called Temptation and is available in brooklyn right now! Its not just the cows that are happy we don't make regular ice cream, it's also the veal calves. Brutal industry. Anyway, the festival was awsome. If they have the festival next year in Chicago, Temptation will be there for everyone to try. By the way, New York's own Satya magazine calls it the best "ice cream" they have ever had.

Ooh, I saw the Temptation ad in Satya and have been dying to try the cookie dough flavor. Does anyone know where I can get it?
