i never got an indie vibe from bloc party and i never felt like they were committed to being apart of something authentic or underground. they're just some kids playing around on some guitars. they seem content with that.

bloc party did a pretty high profile saturn commercial. i think they are just perfect for opening up for pan-dick at the disco. and please don't tell me how the money they got went to a good cause or some such bullshit. this is the same band who charges their fans a fee to get their tickets early. wanna fight?

it wasn't a fee to get early tix. it was a fee for their fan membership. part of the BENEFITS of having that membership was early access to the tix. really though, for 3 bucks you got 30 unreleased and/or remixed songs and a few from some lesser known bands. there's also access to "fan only" concerts and there's some other bull on there, too. but anyway, it's 3 damn dollars. it's not 50, you cheap bastard.

but ONCE AGAIN, bloc party's not indie. i just don't think they care enough to be. they're simply a band that's better than panic! and that's the only reason why they shouldn't be touring with them.

Why all the bitterness? Panic! at the disco is kind of my guilty pleasure. I can't wait to see them live I'm sure the energy is going to be awesome and it'll be alot of fun. I like them simply because they're music puts me in a good mood instead of the usual emo screamo I hate the world just kill me shit. It's as simple as that.
