Concert Organizers (that aren't affiliated with Webster Hall) taking steps to help audiences beat the heat
WAITING FOR WATER @ THE 2006 PITCHFORK MUSIC FESTIVAL (CRED)
(at Lollapalooza) "There will be an air-conditioned, 3,300-square-foot enclosure — called the AT&T Oasis — where fans can catch a break from the heat, along with a 1,000-square-foot patio complete with fans and misters. There will also be more than a dozen free water stations, and security guards, stationed at the front of the stage, will be armed with hoses to soak the crowd. During last summer's searing Lolla, organizers set up just six free water stations and two misting stations. But they also utilized hoses to cool down the 66,000-strong audience, distributed 1,200 bottles of free water and summoned four cooling buses when temperatures reached triple digits." [MTV News]

i didn't see this water line all weekend at p'fork, and can't figure out where on the grounds it was based on that photo. all i know is i never had to wait more than like 2 minutes in line for $1 bottles of water...and there was never a beer line.

this was the self fill-up water station, across from the ATM at the very begining of the concession stands (opposite biz3)
but yes, the $1 generous sized waters with minerals and electrolytes were wonderful. and goose island rocked too, not even the option for shitty beer.

Lollapalooza always had misting tents and cheap water back in the '90s.

it wasn't hot at lolla at all this year. maybe for about an hour on sunday. otherwise it was perfect weather
