Lollapalooza "grossed nearly $8 million in ticket sales, with total paid attendance of more than 166,000. Last year's Lollapalooza, its first as a one-off festival, had a total paid attendance 60,000 from a two-day event." [Yahoo News]

maybe this is the analyst in me but shouldnt someone report how much it cost to produce? id be surprised if it was really profitable.

Yeah it didn’t lose money. Out of the many artists that performed only three or four received a payment credit. No money exchange just tax write offs. The other people that performed more of the lesser-known local, and national acts actually supplied the event with lots of the promotional items that was given to charities, radio stations, etc. Yeah I think the only money the company spent was on Gnarls Barkley and a donation to a Holocaust foundation of sorts (on Matisyahu’s behalf). As a whole it was all profit so eah ill take it.
