i heard a bootleg live show he did recently of pet sounds and its pretty damn bad. its too clean...same thing happened with the smile album he issued. the beach boys bootlegs are a bit grittier in some small way.

Sam, I'm not sure what you are talking about. Since when do you look for grit when you listen to the beach boys? I'm sorry to break it to you, but they aren't the hard rockers you think they are! That said, you are right about his live show not being great, Brian has fried one too many brain cells. I was trying to sell concert tickets florida after his pet sounds tour, it was enough to scare everyone off. It's best to remember him as he was.
