Lily Allen's Kooks cover | Crazy
Yeti has the MP3 of Lily Allen covering the Kooks' She Moves In Her Own Way. Jeff CV doesn't blog anymore, sort of, so he sent me this story about how everyone is covering "Crazy" (including a horrible one by the Kooks).
Lily Allen sold out. The Kooks sold out.

Cat Power tried to end the late show at Irving Plaza on Sunday night with a cover Crazy. The band and her started playing it and then the real song came on and she did a sort of Karaoke thing with it. It was pretty strange ending to a show. Chan eventually gave up on finishing the song as the curtains closed on her and someone pulled her back stage. She came back a few seconds later sticking her head out of the curtain and underneath the video screen to sing a few more verses. She was so unpredictable that night, it was great.

are you fucking kidding me? that version of crazy by the kooks sounds like a middle-school kid wanking away for his buddies around a campfire. the world would be so much better had they not befouled it. but they weren't the first and they wont be the last.
