My senior year of high school I saw Violent Femmes with Men and Work and Flock of Seagulls...it was a special "80s Flashback" concert at Pine Knob outside of Detroit. One of the most awesome things I've ever attended.

Already ran to Earwax & got tix in hand for Warsaw.
"...going down the kitchen at the top of the stairs
can I mix in with your affairs
share a smoke, make a joke
grasp and reach for a leg of hope
words to memorize, words hypnotize
words make my mouth exercise
words all failed the magic prize
nothing I can say when I’m in your thighs..."

I saw them last month in San Diego... Overall a good show, but they started off pretty slow.

The Femmes are still worth seeing live. Yeah, it's 90% nostalgia, but so what. Their music is still damn cool. Request "Never Tell" or "Country Death Song". -those are my favorites.
