A plane or helicopter hit a building in NYC

NY1 is down from the traffic. CNN just says " small plane has crashed into a building in New York City. No further details immediately available".
UPDATES FROM GOTHAMIST
"Victims are apparently trapped in the building; reports say there is at least one DOA. Heavy debris is falling as well. And the building at 524 East 72nd Street is the Belaire Building. Nearby: The Hospital for Special Surgery (it's unclear whether the hospital was hit)." [Gothamist]

Reports are coming in that they have not ruled out A-Rod as a cause for the crash.

"Reports are coming in that they have not ruled out A-Rod as a cause for the crash."
Well apparently the plane was registered to Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle so maybe your joke seems a bit too appropriate.

That's very strange. I do feel bad, by the way. Rough way for him to go, he was having a bad week. Listen to his interview on Mike & The Mad Dog from Monday. They were brutal with him.
Even worse for the people who just happened to be in their living rooms when a fricking plane comes in and kills them. Sad and strange.

btw, so is this a helicopter or a plane? I've heard the most that it's a plane, but I'm still hearing people that are sure it was a helicopter. And is there a source for this stuff about it being a Yankees guy's plane?
