Iggy Pop & The Stooges back in studio
"The Stooges have begun recording their first new album in over 30 years, the band have confirmed. Iggy Pop, Scott Asheton, Ron Asheton, and Mike Watt have spent the last week recording at Steven Albini's Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago." [Yahoo News]

don`t forget fuckin WATT on the thunderstick. and everyone else part of the original line up. usually reunions are bullshit patchwork affairs with the few original artists involved playing to a fraction of their former power and skill. but in this case, ashetons aside (not sure how they're playing nowadays), pop n' watt are very much in prime shape.
