Does anyone know what the deal is with 'Flash Concerts'? I just looked on their website and you have to text a code to their # which of course makes me a little skeptical. does this mean that you automatically get free tix? In glancing through their website I can't find how much anything costs and I don't want to get texts all the time. But I do want to go see nada surf...

i just texted NYC to that number, and from the response text i got, it looks like i got added to some alerts list, but i didn't get any specific message about nada surf. so who knows!

I know! I also texted that flash thing but I unsubscribed.
I guess I'll just show up a little early and see if I get in? you can read information about how a 'text message registration" is not a guarantee to get in. It's on their websites terms of services and yata pages.

never been to hiro ballroom, and i never planned on it, but i'm going to one of these shows. how big is this place?

It's very nice. Amazing decor (that some find offensive). Not to big, not to small. Some comfortable booths on one side. Bar on the other, that serves insanely expensive Japanese beer.

I was at Hiro for Lily Allen. Despite being mega sold out, I still picked up a ticket at the door.
(P.S. IMHO Nada Surf suck live - I still might go though - they write wicked songs)
