Les Savy Fav @ MoMA, NYC | pics

I went to the Les Savy Fav show at the Museum of Modern Art last night (Nov 7, 2006). There was an open bar and they asked for your cell phone at the door. If you gave it up they hung it on a wall for all to see. By "they" I mean people in white radiation-like outfits who later dressed up like crooks and pretended to steal art. I guess the art of the whole thing worked because every few seconds I checked my pocket wondering where my cell phone was. Honestly though the wall seemed more like a coat check, but for phones.

To make sure you got your phone back, a unique claim number was printed on a bracelet that you wore until you picked up your phone at the end of the night. The end of the night for me came after Les Savy Fav played their set, but I think the DJ'd party went on for another hour. The sound suct, Tim's cordless mic didn't work, and there were some annoying security guards, but overall it was a good show. I didn't bring a camera, so thanks to Suckapants for these pictures.
